Prices vary depending on what type of work you need and how extensive it is. Let me know what's on the agenda and we'll figure out a personal price for you.
EDIT/FEEDBACK
When you need work or feedback on already existing material.
ORIGINAL WORK
When you need material made from scratch.
SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS
A seminar or a workshop might be a good option if you're in a writing group or you're teaching a writing class.
My seminars are shorter and more theoretical, whilst the workshops are longer sessions where we put theory into practice in exercises and personal feedback.
This type of service can be a one time thing, or several sessions can be planned out over a longer period of time for more extensive work.
CHARACTER
DEVELOPMENT
Lacking depth in your characters?
If people don't care about your story, chances are you haven't paid enough attenton to the people in it. I'm not just talking hair and clothes here. Who are these people and what made them so? What are their fears, flaws and secrets? These are things you need to know before attempting to tell their stories.
I can help you create the characters you need for your story or strengthen the ones who're already in there.
SCRIPT
FORMATTING
Been rejected because your work isn't formatted correctly? Wish to avoid fiddling with this boring stuff?
Writing within a universal format ensures that everyone involved in production can read, understand and easily go through the script to find what they need to do their job.
I mostly work within the WriterDuet software, which I'd recommend to anyone, but there are multiple options out there that'll help keep your script format in check and quicken your workpace.
EDITING &
REWRITING
Notes, notes and more notes. Need another input?
Or draft?
Editing and rewriting can be ridiculously frustrating. It can mean starting over from scratch, throwing things around, adding final adjustments, and everything in between.
A first draft can be great, but it's often far from finished.
Let me know if you want some feedback or an extra hand.
STORY &
STRUCTURE
Confusing storylines in a sea of seemingly random plot-points? Let's sort it out.
Story structure, at it's essence, is psychology. Using structure doesn't mean forging your story into a predesigned model. It means getting as much as possible out of the story you already have.
Let's attack your work from all angles and figure out what fits best where and what could be removed, added or reworked to make your story all that you know it can be.
LOGLINE, SYNOPSIS & TREATMENT CONSTRUCTION
Having trouble describing or defining your script?
- A logline is simply a sentence, including the main characters, conflicts and goals of a story. It's a great tool whenever you need to, briefly, convey the core of your story to someone less familiar with it.
- A synopsis is a document summarizing the major events and turning-points of a story.
- A treatment digs deeper, beating out each scene, really giving a point-by-point description of the storyline.
